San Ti Shi
Foundational training posture used to train whole body connection and correct body alignments for correct power generation.
Xing Yi Quan is one of the "big 3" internal martial arts (along with tai chi and ba gua) and known for its ferocity, directness and combative effectiveness.
Like many Chinese Martial Arts the origins of the style are clouded in legend and stories. It is though highly likely to be a military background art and the major techniques are related to the spear.
The basis of the system is very much the Santi posture and 5 element fists. In a broader sense the system also includes 12 animal forms, weapons, 2 man partner sets and various other forms and sequences.
The 5 fists though are the main focus of my practice and teaching. The depth of material and study within each technique could in itself require a lifetime of study and mastery.
